Hello Havenites!
I hope you're ready for the next stage of the event, beginning now. This is split into four sections for ease of explanation, and not all of them may be relevant to you or the character you play. It is important to note that these effects are not a 'snap' effect, they will build in the characters instead of being an immediate change.
POWERED CHARACTERS
It's becoming increasingly obvious to you all that those pesky normals took your powers away! How dare they?
All powered characters will begin to feel as though what has happened is the fault of the normals, who have somehow removed their powers in an attempt to overtake the 'naturally superior'. They will begin to feel disgust at their underhanded methods, and at their weaknesses for being unable to defeat them without first stripping them of their abilities. They will begin to feel paranoid that the normals are banding together and planning to make their move, and that the normals want to somehow subjugate them.
NON-POWERED CHARACTERS
It's a good thing those arrogant freaks have had their abilities taken for once, right? Now they can see what it means to be normal for once.
All non-powered characters will begin to feel a sense of smugness at the downfall of the powered characters. They will feel as though the powered characters are naturally weaker, because they usually have to rely on special abilities instead of their own merits. They will feel pleased that the field is now more level, and determined to prove to the others that having powers isn't so great. They will also begin to distrust the powered characters, believing that they are less stable and competent, and likely cannot be trusted to take the lead in this sort of situation.
CHARACTERS NATURALLY INCLINED TOWARDS ARROGANCE OR EGO
Why am I the only sane one here? The rest of you are weak and foolish, the only way forwards is to follow my lead!
Whether your character is powered or non-powered, they will begin to feel a rise in superiority. Both at the opposing side, for the reasons listed above, and at their own side. They will believe they are the only ones capable of seeing what the powered/non-powered side are up to, and that the others on 'their' side are weak for not taking action before now. They will lost patience with any character who shows fear or weakness, and believe they personally are the one fit to take charge.
CHARACTERS NATURALLY INCLINED TOWARDS INSANITY
They're coming for us...
Characters naturally inclined towards insanity will be able to hear whispers coming from the dark. They promise salvation if the tainted ones are disposed of, and make it clear that no-body else can be trusted. The paranoia within this group will take a stark rise, to the point where even friends and family could be under scrutiny for being puppets of the town. This can either take the form of fight or flight, resulting in increased hostility or increased terror.
If you have any questions or comments, please leave them here!
