Hello, Havenites!
Before we get down to the good stuff (the event), this is just a small run-down of important things happening in the next few weeks. All of these can be found on the calender, barring the store raid as this is player-run.
-> January 12th : Game-wide HMD
-> January 14th-19th : Mod-run event (details below)
-> January 18th : Applications processed
-> January 20th : Intro-mingle log. This is one day late on the Sunday, so it doesn't clash with the event
-> January 25th/26th : Convenience store raid
-> February 1st : Applications processed
-> February 2nd : Intro-mingle log
-> February 18th-26th : Mod-run event, with over-arching plot implications.
EVENT INFORMATION
This event will be sparked by an NPC post on Monday 14th January. It will primarily be aimed at exposing the characters' deepest regrets and sins, which is where the sign-up form comes in. It is important to note, that if you answer yes for death, there is a good chance your character WILL be killed without warning. In addition to this, characters who are killed will not be able to participate in the remainder of the event, and will remain dead until Saturday when it ends. There will be an IC mod post made on Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 7PM EST to detail the exact event happenings, as well as an OOC mod post on Friday.
Sins will be revealed by tattoos appearing on the characters' skin, in various places on their body. This is to allow player's to have some control in how much is revealed about their character, to avoid ruining CR, etc.
For example: Joe has killed 17 people. His player has filled out that the full sin can be revealed in a visible manner, so he may get a tattoo on his face saying 'Joe has killed 17 people'. However, if he filled out only partial sin revealed and non-visible, he may only get a tattoo of the number '17' on his upper arm.
PMs will be sent to players between now and event start detailing the exact nature and location of their tattoo. If you don't want your character to have a tattoo, you don't have to reply to this post! The setting changes will still give involvement for all characters.
There will also be some setting changes to Haven West, but these will be detailed in the NPC post on Monday.
