So about that baseball team!
I know it's taken me far too long to get this ball rolling, but Yamamoto has been thinking about/working on getting a baseball team started. So I'm looking for anyone who wants to sign up! A character's experience/knowledge of baseball doesn't matter, Yamamoto will offer to teach anyone how to play, and give anyone who might not be able to keep up that well a little handicap so they can have fun too.
The games themselves will be plotted out OOCly, with the help of RNG, and I'll get a mingle log up for anyone that wants to play out a specific part of the game, and I'll try to do this monthly if game-events allow. Since I am pretty sure we'd all be clawing out our eyes trying to play out nine whole innings every month. But that's if we end up with enough volunteers for two teams, if not, I'll tweak the set up a little to have a practice mingle log instead of a game mingle log. Of course, people who want to just watch the games or cheer and not actually play are welcome too.
Now, I'm not going to lie, I am not very well-versed in baseball and all of my knowledge comes from wikipedia, so if anyone notices I make little flubs here and there, please let me know so I can fix it. Also if anyone has any ideas on how to get the games to run more smoothly, please let me know! This is my first time running something like this, so any an all input is welcome!

Position you want them to play: Outfield? I have no idea what any of the positions are called, but Yuna's athletic strengths involve lots of running and jumping, so she'd probably be pretty good at that.

Position you want them to play: Official heckler -- I mean, um... I imagine him as more of a power hitter/outfielder or maybe a catcher. He'd probably need some convincing to join though and get out of the spectators box.
Would they be willing to run an opposing team if we get the players for it?: Probably not. Anything smacking of organizing isn't really up Dean's alley. He likes the position, but not if he has to deal with the details.
Any ideas for a team name? Dean would probably either a. say name them after song groups like... the led zeps vs. the beegees or just tell Yamamoto to just go for the big leads and call them after real baseball teams. Red Sox vs. the Yankees anyone?
