Hello Havenites, I hope you're ready for some intro mingle and event details!
The intro log is now up, so come and help welcome our lovely new batch of players! From a suggestion made after the last one, there is now also a general network option, as well as the other options. Apartments getting new members are:

But even if you don't have a new character rooming with one of your characters, come on over and welcome the newbies in the public sections.

Now onto the event...!
Both this event, and the May event, will deal primary with playing with the psyche of the characters trapped in Haven in different ways. This event is a blanket psychological effect for the whole of Haven, the May event will deal with personalized fears for each character (which is why the May event is longer). This doesn't mean that injuries and death won't occur, but the events won't be primary geared that way. If death does occur, characters will remain dead until the end of the event. This event changes the setting and psyche of the characters on a blanket scale. All posts will be made at 7PM EST where required, and the event runs from 15th - 20th April.
Monday 15th April
An IC post will be made to set the scene. The electricity in the apartment block will suddenly cut out, and the characters will wake up outside with the doors and windows blocked for getting back in. The tunnels to Haven North and The Haven will close, and any character will powers will find themselves stripped of them completely. A dense fog will roll in and characters may hear skittering noises or see brief silhouettes of monsters. During this time water may still be drawn from the well but no food supplies can be scavenged in any location.
Wednesday 17th April
An OOC post will be made to fully explain the next stage of the event. Any character who is usually powered will begin to believe that the non-powereds are responsible for stripping away their abilities to 'subjugate the naturally superior'. Any usually non-powered character will begin to feel the usually powered characters deserve to be stripped of their powers to 'level the field for once', and that the non-powered characters are superior by being able to survive without special abilities. Any character who is naturally inclined to violence or ego will begin to feel changes to their thought processes, and any character who is naturally inclined to insanity will begin to hear suggestive whispers (both of these effects will be detailed in the OOC post).
Friday 19th April
An OOC and an IC post will be made. The OOC post will explain the final escalation of the psychological effects, and the IC post will be a mingle for both 'factions'.
Saturday 20th April
An OOC post will be made to complete the event. At the end of the event, all setting changes will not return to reset normal, and psychological effects may take some time to fade.
