There seems to be a disturbing amount of people that make bad decisions based on being sad. That's how my favourite character in PH screwed himself over anyway!

Although there are a lot of upset people in P3, Minato is somewhat unaffected, ahaha- also, given that I'm playing from the end of the game I must ask first if you'd mind spoilers in the rare event that Haven manages to spoil that on his behalf.
