Event Info
Hello Havenites!
It's event time again, and this time the roof has opened up to shower everyone with new horrors. In today's IC event post characters will see that the roof has opened due to a system error and, if the mechanical voice can be believed, an operative from the Yao Corporation will be on their way shortly.
Characters must decide what to do when that representative gets there. Kill them for their security card? Capture them? Let them do their work? Either way, the clock is ticking...
Further developments will come later in the week, but for now the garden is open for general use. Some important information is in this post to let you know what to expect.
Powers and the garden
Any character entering the garden will find that their powers DO NOT WORK within it's boundaries. They will not be turned human, it's just as if a dampener effect has been put into place (for example: Beast Boy would remain green, he just wouldn't be able to transform). This will last only as long as a character is within the garden itself, and all powers will return the moment a character steps back onto the spiral staircase to leave.
Falling off the edge
That's a bad idea. No, seriously. Any character who falls off the edge may be subject to permanent physical changes, so please do not have your character fall off the edge unless you are willing to accept these consequences. If you decide to go ahead, just PM
havenmods to work out the details. Approaching the edge of the garden will give off an aura of menace, and occasionally a set of huge eyes can be seen staring back from the inky blackness.
Climbing the side of the apartments
Anyone trying to access the garden via the outside of the building instead of using the spiral staircase will not reach it. They will reach what seems to be just a crumbling and empty rooftop, standard to any apartment block with no interior access door.
Plants in the garden
There are many different types of plants in the garden. Characters may be affected by any of their special attacks, but this is down to player discretion - you may NPC your own plant attacks. If any character is killed, they will remain dead for 48 hours before returning. Plants may also be uprooted and taken below, or eaten (if you feel brave enough). The following is a list of what can be found (click the links for further information on all plants named):
-> Standard greenery : This includes grass, bluebells, fir trees, etc - anything you might expect to find in a large garden. This also includes an apple tree, and a blackberry bush, both with fresh fruit ready to be eaten. This is all safe to consume, and the water from the stream is safe to drink.
-> A large bed of poppies
-> 10 x Triffids
-> 10 x Standard Deku Scrubs
-> 1 x Plant 42
-> 10 x Audrey II - Note: These versions are the new seedlings and cannot yet talk, but will eat blood if possible. If any of these are uprooted and taken below, they will grow as in the musical.
-> 30 x Mandrake roots - Note: There are roots of all ages.
-> 1 x Whomping Willow
-> 3 x Malboro
-> 1 x Wall of Vines - Note: See plot section of the wiki page for what the vines can do
Please ask any questions here, and the rest of this post is free to use for plotting purposes!
