Event End

Hello Havenites,

The event has now ended! The IC vote has closed with a resounding NO being the majority choice. What this means is that not enough Yao Corp employees either handed themselves over, or were forced to enter the building, and the spirits of the children are not appeased.

As you can see from this final IC post, the ghost children have let their displeasure be known and have accelerated the destruction of the apartment block. In fact, the whole thing is pretty much rubble now. Most of the Western facing wall has collapsed, and many of the apartment floors have fallen through into the ones below. The staircase up to the sixth floor (and subsequently the gardens) is still in tact. However, it is very unstable and chunks of it are missing, so anyone going inside is at risk of falling through the stairs, having building rubble fall on them, or getting electrocuted from live wires that have come loose or got cut in the fall.

The negative effects from sleeping away from the apartments are now completely lifted, and characters may sleep wherever they wish within Haven West. However, due to earthquake damage please be aware that there are no fully standing buildings to be used as shelter. Some are less damaged than others, such as the clinic, but all are weak structurally and will sustain further damage. The weather is cold, with occasional rain, and Pyramid Head is always on the prowl.

Enjoy sleeping rough, Havenites!

Anyone who goes near to any of the schools will find that they are all locked up tight, but the following night they will have very vivid dreams of all the mistakes they have made in their lives. However, the more serious effects such as the mood swings and the possessions, have all vanished as of now. Any injuries sustained during the event will remain and heal normally.

Please note that the information pages such as the community profile page, setting page, location page, rules and faq page, and the nitpicker's guide have all been updated to reflect these changes. The app rounds/intro logs between now and February's event will no longer have apartment sections, as characters will be dropped into the rubble of the apartment block en masse. The apartment block page has been removed from all links sections, and has been set to admin only, as it is no longer currently relevant.

Any Yao employee who entered the school is free to PM the moderator for final details on how their thread will end, if they do not want to have to wait for it to ICly conclude. However, I will continue tagging all moderator threads for as long as it takes to get them done. Please feel free to continue tagging all event posts, and remember that backtagging is welcomed here!

Thank you for participating in the event, and I hope you enjoyed it. If you have any questions or concerns, then feel free to ask them on this post!
