Actually it's a bit more stressful to play with people who I've played with before, when it's a new character ("new") like this. In certain internet circles Homestuck has Connotations although I do not think that's the case here at all.

Aesthetically, yes. On a deeper level though, the emotions behind a hug-five and high-five are vastly different. With a high-five you're basically saying, "yo, that was a rad thing you just did. Let me hand you some mad props with the flat side of my fist." With a hug-five you're basically saying, "yo, you are incredibly rad and I would like you touch you as appropriately as possible. Also, let me hand you some mad props with the flat side of my fist."
