Event: Group Two
Hello, Group Two!
Tonight is the night that things are really kicking off, as you can see by this IC post. Two separate, but connected, plans have converged into an escape attempt. Beast Boy is infecting the guards to make them weaker, and Jonas is inciting rebellion - but he's not the only one, whispers and murmurs have been making the rounds for the last few days and this is the perfect opportunity for escape.
Within the post there are several sections, so when you reply, just put the number (or numbers), for what you're responding to.
-> Part One: For initial noticing the guards are sick, for talking to Jonas, or for trying to encourage (or discourage) other people from fighting.
-> Part Two: RIOT!
-> Part Three: Wasteland
-> Part Four: Jail, aftermath
During this section, players are welcome to NPC their own guard fights. Please note that guards will always shoot to kill, although their aim now they're sick thanks to Beast Boy may be a bit worse than might normally be the case. The exercise yard, as it's the point that escape is most likely, will be the most heavily guarded and contain the biggest likelihood for death. The fire will originate in the rec room and spread outwards towards the cells, but can be put out if characters choose to direct their energies that way.
For anyone who makes it over the walls without being killed, they will find themselves in what looks like desert scrub land. The ground is sandy and unstable, there are no growing trees and only occasional cacti, and there are no sources of water and no animals to catch. The heat is intensive, and when night falls, the temperature drops below freezing. The wasteland outside the jail seems to stretch forever on all sides and no cities can be seen. Any astute character may notice that the landscape literally repeats itself, and walking for more than six hours in any one direction will loop them back towards the jail.
Characters may take things from the jail when they leave, but attempting to return too closely will result in guards trying to recapture or kill them. However, they will not be pursued more than half a mile from the jail, and characters are welcome to try and break back in to rescue any characters left behind, or to fetch supplies, and then get back out again. In these situations, again, guards may be NPC'd by the players and it is entirely your own choice if your character gets free or remains captive.
Players are welcome to make their own posts for days following this, and you are welcome to use this post for plotting! If you have any questions then please ask on the main navigation post, as this post will not be tracked so it can be used for player plotting. Thank you!
