Hello Havenites!
As you know, the next six weeks are going to be plot involved, and I hope that you'll have a lot of fun with it. It will involve a split in the game, as different characters go to different areas of Haven with their own specific group. Each group will have their own impact on the plot, and with a different focus so that hopefully every player can find a group that will help them have the most fun.
Once the groups have been assigned, each group will receive their own timeline of events, but to give you an overview, this is how the first two weeks look calender-wise.
Week One (12th-18th August)
During this week, ICly, the player-plot run by Pitch Black's player will be underway. During this time a setting change will also come into effect. On Monday, 12th August at 7pm EST night will fall in all areas of Haven and the sun will not rise again. It will be permanent night until further notice. OOCly, groups will be finalised on Wednesday 14th August, and each group will receive their own timeline of events.
Week Two (19th-25th August)
Players in Group One will go missing from Haven and split into their own timeline of events. An NPC post will happen on Wednesday 21st August at 7pm EST, during which the roles of Groups Two, Three, and Four will be discussed by Jonas, who will be there to help the characters.
Week Two (which already has a vague outline above), through to Week Six (which is the climax), all have more detailed explanations which will be given nearer the time in stages, so as to keep things simpler and not give away the plot right off the bat.

Group Sign-Ups!
Each of the groups, as previously mentioned, will form a different role in the plot. Some groups will be able to liaise with other groups, and some will be completely cut off from the rest of the game. If you have multiple characters, please do not put them all in the same group, thank you.
Characters who would not want to get involved in any of the groups, may elect to stay behind (please still fill out a form below to note that for the sake of my organization). However, as the influx of monsters in Haven West and setting changes to Haven West would affect the apartment building, it will not be possible to fully avoid the event. In order to find out what changes would affect characters not in any groups, please pay attention to the calender of events for Group Three.
GROUP ONE SIGN UPS FOR GROUP ONE HAVE NOW CLOSED
Main focus: Physical and psychological torture
Secondary focus: Escape
Main NPC involved: Philip Kite
Members of Group One will go missing from Haven West, and will find themselves in laboratories in an unknown location. They will be housed together and have some freedoms within the facility. They will be subject to numerous physical and psychological tortures. As a small note, Group One activities are less time sensitive than Groups Two and Three.
GROUP TWO SIGN UPS FOR GROUP TWO HAVE NOW CLOSED
Main focus: Uncovering plot
Secondary focus: Rescue
Main NPC involved: Stefan
IMPORTANT: Because Group Two will involve finding time-sensitive plot devices, please only sign up for this group if you are able to be active for the majority of the event duration.
Members of Group Two will follow a path underground from the apartment building to meet with the mysterious Stefan. They will then be involved in an attack on the laboratories, which will additionally involve rescuing Group One.
GROUP THREE
Main focus: Uncovering plot
Secondary focus: Fighting monsters
Main NPC involved: Jonas
IMPORTANT: Because Group Three will involve finding time-sensitive plot devices, please only sign up for this group if you are able to be active for the majority of the event duration.
Members of Group Three will remain behind in Haven West and launch an assault on the subway tunnels to break through to a new area of Haven. A severe increase in monster activity will be seen, and there will be both psychological and physical challenges in the tunnels. They will have the objective of killing Beth.
GROUP FOUR - SIGN UPS FOR GROUP FOUR SUPPORTING GROUP TWO HAVE NOW CLOSED
Main focus: Support and healing
Secondary focus: Fighting monsters
Main NPC involved: Jonas/Stefan
Members of Group Four will travel with Group Two, or remain with Group Three, in a support and healing capacity. This group is intended for players who will not have much/any time to participate in the plot. They will still be able to explore the new areas, but will be less involved in time-sensitive plot areas.
SECRET VILLAIN GROUP SIGN UPS FOR VILLAINS HAVE NOW CLOSED
Main focus: Working for the Yao Corp
Secondary focus: Sabotaging the efforts of Groups 1-4
Main NPC involved: Su Geming
IMPORTANT: It is very important to be active in the villain group, as part of the conflict and action relies on your participation. Please only sign up for this group if you will have time.
Members of the villain group will be working (either voluntarily or unwittingly) for the Yao Corporation. Please be aware before you sign up for this group that it may have long-lasting ramifications on CR and your character in the game. These characters will be part of the other four groups outwardly, but be working for a different agenda. Players that have already been contacted regarding Yao Corp, please fill out the villain form.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
While some groups have time sensitive plot points to find, it is important to note that back-tagging will still be encouraged. The plot duration has been spread over six weeks so that the action will not move too quickly and, hopefully, no-body gets overwhelmed. During any part of the plot, I will be available for questions and concerns.
Please fill out one of the forms below. The comments to this post are screened so only I can see who the villains are, once the groups are assigned (on Wednesday 14th August) I will put up a designated plotting post. All new characters accepted this round (16th August) will be directed here to sign up. All new characters accepted while the plot is ongoing, will be directed to choose between Group One, Group Two, and remaining behind. This is because Group Three will have left any part of Haven the people in charge would feasibly drop them into.
