Hello Havenites!
I'm sure you're all aware that there is an event coming up this week, running from Thursday 17th - Tuesday 22nd October. The effects of this event are coming as a knock on effect from the big anniversary event and the things that the characters achieved there, though how exactly it connects to the past event is something the characters will have to work out ICly...
It's time for a haunting!
Throughout the week, Haven West will be subject to some horrible spectral activity, which will be further detailed in the event posts so as not to give them away. The bulk of the event, and most significant parts of it, will be open effects that all characters can react to and explore. But there will be some characters getting possessed, which requires a sign up and explanation below. There are three levels of possession:
-> Stage One: Minor Possession. This will involve the character doing or saying short phrases or actions for a short period of time. These will also be the first characters possessed during the event.
-> Stage Two: Major Possession: This will involve the player being in possession of some event/plot relevant information which will come through via the possession. These will be the second set of characters possessed during the event. Please only sign up for this choice if you will be available on Saturday 19th October, as the information that needs to be imparted is necessary for the advancement of the event.
-> Stage Three: Total Possession: This will involve the player being in complete thrall to the spirits and violent towards other characters. These will be the final set of characters possessed during the event.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the spectres, some characters will not be eligible to be possessed. But don't worry, if your character is not eligible to be possessed or you do not want to have your character possessed, there is a lot to do. The setting will alter, and all those who are not possessed will have to work against the spectres to solve the mystery of the haunting! Characters who will not be eligible to be possessed are:
-> Any character who has power over the dead, or are dead themselves.
-> Any character who has powers connected with anything holy of any religion.
The sign ups will close on Wednesday 16th October, 7pm EST, when all information will be provided to the signed up characters. If you have multiple characters, please only sign up to be possessed with one, thank you.
