Hi everyone. My name is Sari and I'm brand new here to Haven. I'm very excited to be here and with me I'm bringing in Kyou Sohma from Fruits Basket. Kyou loves martial arts, breaking the walls of his house, milk, roofs, showers and really airheaded teenage girls that go by the name of Tohru Honda. He hates rats, water, rain, leeks, spring onions, miso (unless it's in soup) and losing to Yuki Sohma.

ohgosh that's fine that's amazing. i am always so stoked when i hear other people have read it...!

but ohgod I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS ABOUT IT. are you caught up? like on the one hand i'm glad he took a proactive approach on the whole hori front but on the other hand i'm upset he'd done it to pretty much appease everyone else. :( as if he had to to "deserve" her or something. and i'm a little irked that it hasn't been fully addressed in the manga yet! i hope they do ><;;;

I bet you do. I think it looks good on him but yeah...my feelings were mixed because Hori liked him for who he was--and he looked so awesome with his hair pulled back when they just were chilling at her house.

The one positive is he's obviously feeling more confident in his part of the relationship now as evidenced by the recent chapter. So in the end I think it was more for himself than for Hori. He's been 'hiding' for so long. And...you know what. I'm going to be a huge nerd and let this guy's least favorite person explain it.

To Quote Yuki Sohma:
[reading the letter from Kisa's teacher] "I hope you will learn to feel good about yourself." What is that supposed to mean? How are you supposed to find these good qualities, I wonder, if the reason you don't feel good about yourself is that all you can find are qualities you don't like? I don't think you can. When someone else accepts you, that's when you begin to see yourself - through THEIR eyes - and you begin to realize that there may actually be many qualities to like about yourself.

and ooh, you know i've never really thought of it that way. i was so focused on my despair over him giving in for ~everyone else~ that i didn't stop to consider that it was more HIS way of saying, no screw you guys, I DO DESERVE HER. *A*;;

Yes, well now all of him sparkles beautifully. Not just his hair. TBH I was a little afraid of Hori's reaction at first since their original bond was the fact that the person they are in school is so different than who they really are in real life. He just completely removed that bond be chopping off his hair and no longer hiding the real him from everyone. Hori didn't seem to be real happy at first and then she started snapping pictures like everyone else. haha Her dad's reaction was hilarious too.

T-There are Fruits Basket quotes for just about anything...*sob* and I use them way too much.

LOL YEAH... that's one of the things i both hate and love about horimiya. i'm so used to shoujos really making situations over-dramatic, so i was expecting some big blow out as a result of his gesture... but nope. hormiya keeps things fairly simple and realistic and i think she contented herself with the fact that, despite all that, he's still hers especially in some way.

but it does get grating when it OVER simplifies things... like where's our fall out from the "kiss," manga?!

Oh good. One of his roommates. >> This should be interesting. I only know Blood+ via playing against a Saya and Diva in game places where my character was very invested in 'vampires' and had a lot of CR with them because of it. So coming at it from a different angle will be fun. Let alone rooming with them.
