To those characters who volunteered to join Zero on a trip to the garden to gather food, please look here!

Also, to anyone else who cares to WTF at how stupid such an idea could be, his post is here. :')

ANYWAY. This is a general discussion post. As far as I've been thinking, the log itself will feature a mingle section, which can take place before/while they're ascending the stairs, and then people are free to start their own threads. This can also be where they can all share what they've experienced/come across already, from any previous visits. The more they know about the more violent and dangerous plants, the better they can do to defend themselves.

Assessing how skilled and able to fight everyone is could also be a good idea.

I am more than open to any other ideas you guys may have, though! Initially I was thinking they could move as a group, but as there are 11 of us, I'm not sure how well one massive thread would do.

Additionally, given the state of the garden as a whole, injuries are pretty much a given. If anyone is absolutely set on the idea of killing their character, I'd love a heads-up or whatnot. . . . If only for the sake of how guilty Zero will feel, after. OTL

But yeah. HAVE AT IT.

To keep things moving, I'd like to at least come up with and ending of sorts. Specifics aren't necessary, however even just a general idea would be great. Seeing how ICly it will have taken place yesterday, ultimately making the log back-tagged, I feel it'd be helpful to know a little about the results, so as to not keep any of us from replying to any other posts to follow, if that makes sense.

Just think of it as happening before the intro mingle, which went up today/Saturday.

Well, I imagine the most basic ending is that they do come back with food? ~~wow look how smart I am~~

That said, I think anyone who's planning to wound/kill characters are already going to know whether they're going to or not...

Haha, you never know what surprises might hit you in the log itself, but yeah, I at least already plan to get Masaomi hurt. I'd love it if he broke his arm (because of yanking vines???), but I want him to get out alive.

Hopefully that won't give Zero PTSD, sob. The vines broke both of Yuuki's arms, in addition to nearly eating her alive. BUT STILL, it looks like Joel has first-aid experience, which could definitely come in handy.

YES. Of course the food, haha. I'd love to say that they collect enough to give everyone at least a small bit, but that's probably stretching it a little too far.

I think the big things that should be determined are how much, if any, supplies will they end up with, and who, if anyone, is going to be injured/killed and how will those be dealt with?

Given that they're going in as a group, it's safe to say that they'll all probably at least be aware of what's happening to the others, and when they're done pool the loot, so to speak, for redistribution?

EDIT: Joel will, of course, have his backpack, which he will fill to the brim with food. I don't think he'll be getting any major injuries, so he's available to help anyone else who is - he can offer some makeshift med kits for someone who's bleeding, he can splint a broken bone, and he can easily toss a flaming molotov into a particularly aggressive bush.

Zero will be packing in as much food as possible, too. Anything they can possibly reach. I'm assuming apples will be the most available, but who knows.

I likely won't be injuring Zero more than a few mild things. His pain tolerance is rather high, at least. First-aid knowledge is definitely good. — lmf anything with fire would be great. I doubt anyone has a blowtorch, so-!

Here's a late reply, if you're still interested. If not, s'all good.

Nezumi is a very capable fighter and probably won't be dying or anything. I might get him injured, but... I dunno, we'll see how it goes! His primary goal is to gather as much food as possible, so he'll probably be pretty successful too. He's also a bit of an asshole, but he'll help anyone out who needs it.

Also, I assume the food will all be brought down to the lobby for distribution, correct? So they can probably ration it, since they're probably not gonna end up with a ton or anything.

If anyone wants to play out anything dramatic like Nezumi saving your character or anything, give me a shout! I live for stuff like that.

YEP. Once they're back, they can go through and see how much they have, and maybe make another post to let everyone know. I'm not sure if we want to do another log for that? Regardless, I'm assuming that they won't really bring back a ton, so each person may only get a couple apples or something at most. It's something, though!

Judith has no problem getting scratched up or mildly injured and could probably carry someone if they got to the point where they needed it. Otherwise, she's a hack-and-slasher and a bit of an aerial acrobat, so any high place, she'll be more than willing to climb up there if possible. She'll carry food as well, but will probably be more on the KEEP EVERYONE ALIVE job.

Masaomi is bringing a well-used book bag, a scarf to cover his nose and mouth, some knives, and a led pipe! He's less of a well-trained fighter and more of an experienced one. (hooray, delinquency!) He's better with close combat and throws his weight around with steady finesse. Strong instincts too. Of course, he's much more experienced fighting people than monsters and/or plants, so I plan to have one get the better of him and break his arm. He'll insist on remaining useful afterward though, even if that means shoving a knife into his shoe and kicking things.

Echoing the general theme of moderate success! I would like Kon to come back alive and with something to show for his efforts, perhaps minor injuries depending on how the thread plays out (but very minor injuries). He is more competent than you might think, even powerless!

Also he has a scythe.

Rosie's probably going to come back with some bump and bruises but, yes, I'd like for her to come with something to show for it! She's going to be more aboard the 'keeping everyone alive' team though since she hasn't brought anything to carry anything back.

I'd also really like for someone to realize that Rosie's not just there to gather food. No, she's there to get revenge. Someone should probably stop her before she gets too carried away though and it's a good chance for some angst because obviously there just isn't enough in Haven as it is.

Rosie, no. dhjkgf Zero knows and can relate so very much to wanting to get revenge, but also knows how bad of an idea it could be. If he is aware, or realizes she wants to do so, he'd probably be someone to help stop her. Unfortunately I can see there being more than just them who feel like getting back. orz
