Hello Havenites!

The Yao Corporation is not happy with the behaviour that's been shown over the last few days, especially towards its employees, who are now either hostages or dead due to actions by various characters. It seems they blundered by sending in only one bodyguard with the assumption they would be sufficient protection, and now they are having to pay for that blunder.

As you can see by this IC post, the Yao Corporation is willing to negotiate a trade with the characters. They may make demands for the release of the remaining scientists, and the agreement that all characters who have not yet taken a dose of medicine, will do so at once. Naturally, although they want these things to happen, they still have prices they're not willing to pay and will sacrifice their employees if the demands made are too high.

They don't want to give the characters too long to think and discuss, lest they come up with some very clever demands, and so there's an IC deadline of 24 hours. What demands to make can be discussed ICly on the mingle post, and on this OOC post. When a decision has been made on what demands to ask for, Hyobu must present them here. Although IC backtagging is more than welcome, please try to make a decision OOC on what demands to make without too much delay, as the official end of the event will be delayed until the decision has been made.

Question! If the characters come to an consensus that they'd rather not risk the negotiation, would they be able to keep the hostages? Or would the hostages like... implode or bite a fake tooth filled with cyanide or something

ideally, izumo herself wants answers regarding certain things: yao corp's ability to manipulate time, snatch them from different worlds only to return them at the same time and place they'd gotten back, what happens to people who leave (and return), is there a system for who gets chosen or what, etc etc... mostly logistics about the place. she wants to know if her sister is still safe basically.

BUTTTT that's probably a long shot so she won't really make that suggestion. plus she's a yao employee so she's not going to really stick her neck out much this time around :x still gotta prove "loyalty" and whatnot

Better access to medical supplies + repair of all the broken buildings to their original condition (i.e. not broken down, but just as it was when haven west reverted to how it use to look during one event last summer)

Also working stoves for hot meals.

Caterina will insist on working plumbing, heating, and cooling as well as availability of food. Supplies to make improvements to the buildings would be great too.

Yeah she promised the ghosts too so she'll join Oz in asking for the apartment ghosts to be released or at least a credible explanation as to why they are kept in the first place.

+ Information

She'd probably want to know about the selection process, storage, and whether or not the ones not present from her world or any other are dead or not.

Better access to medical supplies,electricity and food + no more pyramid head is definitely high on all my characters demands.

- Tim wants much more specific information for why they were kidnapped and experimented on.
- Ted wants to know if the monsters are still revertable to regular people and release the ghosts. (He's dead, he doesn't have a reason to go back)
- Hiro'omi would prefer they just make Haven North accessible without the extended periods problem. He thinks he'd rather live there than their current location.


Tatsumi just wants to go home but that's impossible so he's not even going to say anything (haha...)

but in terms of my other characters, INFORMATION would be key. Keats (nosentimentalist) wants information, more specifically, what happens to them when they "go home" and what happens when they die? Also, why are there creatures from their worlds, are they brought in the same as they are? General stuff like that.

Also, he would request rations, plumbing, the ability to write, and COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF TEA to be given.

Yomiel just wants more info and some gas for the van he helped to steal. That's all.

He may or may not have some points in politics and negotiations on his sheet.

He'd aim for a 6 point thing, with 2 hard and fast ones and the rest being in the "we can drop these but don't tell them that unless they push" plan.

1 and 2 are the "solid" ones he'd advocate for, the rest being in order of importance in his book.

1. Food supply/RationsL Pretty self explanatory. A weekly/daily food drop to them


2. Volunteer/Lot-Draw Based Participation: What it says on the tin pretty much. Yao gives the Havenites a number of people they need/want for a...whatever, they get to decide amongst themselves who goes. Alternatively, a ballot system where characters put their names/whatever in to a pool for Yao to pick from a la hunger games reapings. Pretty much giving Havenites some (probably false) sense of control over the situation. Yao still gets their monkeys but it's... the ones who want to go/aren't stopped from it.
