Monster list and info!

Hey guys! Below is a list of the monsters that can be found running around town, during the first part of the event. These are by no means the only monsters available, and if you would like to see a specific monster from your characters canon show up, then drop a line here.

Be sure to note that while there are a few stronger monsters running around during this first part, none of them are overly powerful, and at most there will two or three monsters at a time. As the days go on, however, the number and strength of the monsters increases.

Cactoid

Small, useless enemies. They will not attack unless provoked, and even then they're easy to defeat. Kill one, and you might find a small swarm surrounding you, trying to carry you away. For the first couple days, they're a common enemy to run into, but as time drags on fewer and fewer can be found.

Nightmare Spider
These creatures hide up high, and jump down to surprise and attack their victims. They're persistent. Also watch out, they use web to evade things quickly, and have two dangerous attacks: They can shoot poison ( Which is like acid and will burn on contact ). In addition their teeth are syringes, and if they bite you, you may find yourself hallucinating.

Bears (Assassins Creed)
BEAAAAARRRRSSSSSSSSS.
Yeah, no. That's basically it. There aren't very many of these to be found in the first couple of days, but if you do stumble across one, be careful. They aren't friendly.

Also great for wrestling.

Bubble Head Nurse
Get near one of these, and your phone will start making a static sound. They appear to move slowly, but are actually quick to attack. They attack with a pipe, but are weak and easy to defeat.

Mannequin
The manniquin's will remain still until a character approaches it. Get too close, and it will spring to life and attack it's victims. They're easy to defeat. Unlike the Nurses, being near these monsters will not result in the phone giving off static.

Boggart
This creature will shape-shift into your worst fears, though it's strength is greatly reduced no matter the form it takes. If there is more than one person near it, it'll get confused. It can only be found in small, dark spaces. Like in dressers and under beds.

Adamantheron
Quick and powerful, this monster is better to take on in a group than alone.

Borgbear
Usually found in small groups, this monster is strong but not impossible to beat on your own.

Malboro
This monster's breath can cause a variety of status effects, including but not limited to Poison, Blind, slow, sleep and confuse. If you're character runs into one of these guys and get hit by this monster's breath they may end up with one or many of these effects. Some will go away after a time, but others, like poison, will need to be addressed quickly.

Dire Flan

This monster can fuse with others of it's kind to become bigger and stronger, but is rare during the first few days. It has a wide attack range, so be careful!

Zombies ( Walking dead / Resident Evil / Final Fantasy XII )
Zombies from various series can be found on occasion, though usually no more than two at a time. None of these are the stronger kinds of zombie types, but that doesn't mean they'll be a piece of cake to take on. They're not all that commonly found, at least not during the first few days.

Also, unlike the Walking Dead and Resident Evil zombies, Final Fantasy XII zombies will rise from the ground suddenly in front of characters, which will likely take them by surprise.

Naberius
A mid-level demon that is made by cobbling together multiple Ghouls (low-level demons that possess the corpses of humans and animals). It oozes a foul black substance from its mouth and the wounds on its body which will burn the flesh, if not treated properly in time then necrosis will set in. It is also capable of spraying out a type of miasma which will induce fever, dizziness, fits of harsh coughing and zap its victims of their strength and endurance.

Ferrets
Human-sized, ferret-like creatures with abnormal strength and large, hollow fangs. They are highly vicious, and if they get a hold of a victim, they will often be unable to control themselves- they usually drain the blood out of their prey. They are nocturnal, and hate water and heights; you will never find them near water, and if you're lucky, you might discover that climbing somewhere high will keep them away from you. They travel in packs of five.

Anthony
Meeting one is a relatively harmless encounter, but they're dangerous when they swarm. They'll gather around someone and attack in a group, like a bunch of angered fire ants.

Adelbert
The Adelberts have a tendency to headbutt mercilessly until they bring their target down.

Neoshadow
They're physically strong, humanoid in shape, and very fast, which makes an encounter with their sharp claws very dangerous. Essentially mindless and running on instinct, they hunt in swarms (though I'd say about four, usually) with strength to back up their speed. As pureblood Heartless they're made of pure, unaltered darkness, and dissolve into nothing when defeated.

They would be most drawn to people who are emotion-driven.

Demoknight & Scoutbot
mass produced robotic replicas of the Demoman and Scout respectively. Demoknights are equipped with broadswords and shields with their method of attack being to charge directly at their target with their sword. Scoutbots fight with baseball bats and pretty much have the same tactic, except they're very fast and much more prone to be found in groups. Neither of them are difficult to take on one at a time, but they can be dangerous in swarms.

Also, they literally run on money. When destroyed, they explode and piles of cash come bursting out. It's just a thing with them.

If you have any questions, concerns, or monsters you would like to have your character run into, drop a line here! Feel free to use this post to plot as well.

Ah, I'll donate a monster from Ninde's canon! How about some Ferrets? I'll provide a shorter description:

Human-sized, ferretlike creatures with abnormal strength and large, hollow fangs. Screaaaaaaaam monsters! \o/

If we need heavy duty critters to really smash up the town, how about one or two Ogres?

"Ogres are the massive, brutish shock troopers of the darkspawn horde. Dwarfing their darkspawn brethren, ogres attack opponents with brute force and monumental strength, acting as living siege weapons."

I'd like to suggest two types of Witch's familiars from Madoka Magica: Anthonies and Adelberts. Meeting one is a relatively harmless encounter, but they're dangerous when they swarm. They'll gather around someone and attack in a group, like a bunch of angered fire ants. The Adelberts have a tendency to headbutt mercilessly until they bring their target down.

If you want a physical fighter, I'd like to suggest something Riku would be all too familiar with: Neoshadows.

Oooh! If it's all the same to you guys, I'll throw up some choices from the TF2verse. I'm not sure if you'd consider robots to be monsters, but if you're up for it, I'd like to suggest two types: Demoknights and Scoutbots, mass produced robotic replicas of the Demoman and Scout respectively.

Question that I really should've asked before: Heartless in the games drop healing orbs, munny, and sometimes items. Going with the event I'd assume they don't drop anything, but I figured I'd better ask first.

I suppose this question goes for all item-dropping monsters.
