Player Plot: Going Beyond the Barrier

Secret, secret, secret, secret tunnel! Yeah!

A few weeks ago, Beast Boy told Wan about the underground garden that lays beyond the barrier that you get to through one of the tunnels that leads off from the sinkhole.

And from that, he got the idea to dig a hole in the ceiling of that cave to the surface that lays beyond the current barrier.

Digging alone will take forever and with the murder maze fresh on his mind, Wan has started to quietly ask people for help in both building a ladder (so they can reach the ceiling in the cave) and with digging the tunnel. The more characters he can get to help, the faster the digging will go. And the sooner Blue will have to find a way to punish them all horribly for trying to escape

I've been given a general time frame rundown of how fast this will take based on the number of people helping:

1 person working 1 hour per day: 4 months
2-5 people working 1 hour per day each: 3.5 months
6-10 people working 1 hour per day each: 3 months
11-15 : 2.5 months
16-20: 2 months
etc, etc, and so on and so forth.

Currently, Wan has one firm volunteer in Supertwin Conner. He's asked Conner to spread the word to those he trusts. So it's very possible Conner could hit any of his friends up and they could hit other friends up for help with the plan. And so on and so forth I like that phrase, okay.

So to get this going, we need volunteers to help dig. There's a thread for that. There's also a thread for figuring out who told the character, be it an assumed ic-grape-vine chain or arranging for it to come up in a log/thread over the next couple weeks.

I will ask that Yao Employees not sign up unless there is an IC thread logged out where they're told about it because Wan is trying to keep this from being found out by anyone that works for Yao before it's finished to avoid them sabotaging the efforts.

If they are told/find out, just drop a note in the third thread with a link to where it happened and we can arrange for potential sabotages and how they'll effect the digging.

Sorry, Cecil. But Wan will tell you about it after it's done and he can drag you to the world outside the barrier. Then it will be safe to tell you.

Question! Sebastian would definitely be interested because he's such a helpful guy, but he does work for Yao. There's only a very small handful of characters that know this at all, since he's been very quiet about it and has had Yao be very quiet about it as well as a part of his contract, haha.

That said, Sebastian wouldn't exactly sabotage the effort, or at least not right away! His loyalty is very flexible at the moment, since he's still trying to determine which side is the winning side, so he'd probably pass along the information if prompted to, but wouldn't make an active effort to do so.

So basically, would Sebastian helping out be something you'd be interested in? It could lead to sabotage later, but certainly not immediately!

Two things to keep in mind:

1. Wan is actively asking people not to tell known yao employees about this (for obvious reasons).

2. Wan doesn't know Sebastian at all.


So he'd have to be told through the grape vine by someone that does trust him and doesn't know he works for yao (or does and doesn't care). But if that does happen, and he decides to help, that's fine! I don't mind at all.

since Motochika is kinda new here, he probably doesn't know too many people involved, and while there's a very slight possibility he'll just happen to stumble in lost and go 'lmao hey what's up' that's probably pushing it

maybe he could get dragged along by canon CR, or end up becoming friends with one of the people involved, i'm fine with anything

Well.. Mu knows a lot of people but atm I have no idea who he'd be told by. Though it wouldn't be surprising if someone heard from someone that he's a helpful nice-guy that's been in haven a long time and really wants out, and that he's really strong... it's easy to notice that he's friendly just by meeting him so anyone he's met like once or twice could probably suggest him and/or ask him.
