Hello Havenites, this is your monthly mod post!

MOD ANNOUNCEMENTS
The second anniversary event is coming up at the end of this month, and will last through to September 28th (the actual anniversary date). There will be no application round in September due to this, and so we encourage anyone who wants to take part to app in August. To have a look at last year's anniversary event, just take a look at the plot page.

A player plot involving the attempted assassination of Beth Yao and an assault on many convenience stores at the same time is being run by some (suicidal) brave characters, and will take place near the end of the anniversary event as part of the climax. Keep an eye out for details on both the main event and the player plot coming shortly after the August app round.

A small reminder to anyone dropping a character, please remove yourself from the communities as per the rules on the drop page. At least 80% of drops don't do this, and it creates more work for the mods who have to then remove the journals manually. Thank you.

COMMUNAL PLOT CLUES
These plot clues are available to be found by anyone, and can be found by multiple characters.

-> Monsters are almost non existent in any subway tunnel now. The tiny amount of monsters remaining are now completely deformed and in too much pain to properly attack, all seem to be bent out of shape in a facsimile of a spiral. - This clue can be found in the subway tunnels.

-> A crack has opened in the ground of Haven East, near where the hospital used to stand. It is thirty feet long and six feet deep, within the crack are the graves and skeletons of at least forty children under the age of ten. - This clue can be found in Haven East.

-> All phones are now malfunctioning in a major way. Video and voice calls will be interrupted by frequent static, and private filters often do not function correctly - This clue can be found by using the network.

-> Characters with psychic powers, or high susceptibility towards visions, will experience occasional dreams of a giant ash cloud circling overhead in the shape of a spiral. - This clue can be found in characters' dreams.

WEATHER
The weather was changed in June by Hinata and has not been changed since, and is now gradually getting warmer and moving toward summer (not hot enough for heatwaves yet though). But there'll still be the occasional rain showers. If your character changes the weather, please comment here with the changes made. This means that if anyone wishes to know the current weather for posting purposes, they need only check the last comment made under that heading. This section will be included every month, so the header to check the current weather will always be sticky.

SMALL PLOT REQUESTS
This is the place to request any small player plot requests which do not change the game setting as a whole, and do not involve the whole playerbase. For player plots that are more involved, please still use the suggestions and player plots page. This section is for requesting smaller plots, such as a raid on the convenience store or a request to join the Yao Corporation, though not limited to these two things specifically. The header to request these is here.

LETTERS
If you would like to write further letters to Caroline, or any other NPC to be passed via Caroline, please leave them here, and replies will be made to your comment in this post. Caroline only visits the underground room sporadically, so there may be some wait between replies.

CONCERNS AND SUGGESTIONS

This is not the place to tell us about concerns you have with other players, or for major concerns, please use the screened Concerns Post for that. If you would like to leave a concern or suggestion, please try to be as detailed as possible so that we can properly understand and address the issue. It's that time of the year! Even though it's November in game. Anyway, the time has come to make Haven a desert. ...Or a desert by mid-western US standards, anyway.

The low is now set to 80°F (27°C), the high at 110°F (43°C). It will be a DRY heat, but there will be sudden ridiculously torrential rainstorms every week or so.

oh wow and here izumo's been missing the desert

Doc loves you Cecil, but no. It'll take him a couple weeks to realize that there's been a drastic change, no sense of touch and all, but he'll adjust things down a bit so the weather is still warm, maybe a little hotter around midday though not unmanageably so, but pleasantly cool in the evening/at night. Occasional rainstorms are still a thing, but they won't be torrential downpours anymore, just light-to-moderate showers.

With the current number of volunteers for digging the tunnel, it should be finished at the end of the Anniversary Event (possibly on the Anniversary). In case you'd like to plan for that to be involved with the Anniversary Event in any way. :)

I can't give away too much, but due to the nature of the event, it's likely that digging will be delayed as people may not be in Haven West to dig.

about the phone static

more of a series of questions than a request but

with the phones on the fritz, are the rebel phones still working okay, or would they be staticy too? And Deadpool and Doc Impossible both have rebel phones, unless I'm remembering wrong. Is there any way for those phones to call each other, or can they only call NPCs?

Also is Cecil's yao radio majiggy affected by the static, or is that working fine, if he tries to use it?

Were the bodies simply dumped in there, or where they put into coffins? Also can anything other than the skeletons be found in the crack?

Could we give all those bodies proper burials after checking them out, if there's nothing hinky? :c That's sad.

Would it be possible to determine a cause of death for the children or anything if the character was super skilled in the medical field? This girl can easily spot necrosis and make an accurate guess that it's from a forbidden jutsu, and also was able to identify damage on the cellular level and even taught her two students autopsy techniques but Tsunade is kinda skilled in matters of the body.

If not, that's totally fine but I'm just wondering if scouring the skeletons could yield something of use, like knife marks, fractures, etc.

Question about the bodies! Would a character be able to find anything on them if they decided to check them out up close and personal?

Only that they were all young, and it's likely they were murdered rather than died of natural causes. Many of them are dressed in ragged scraps of hospital gowns.
