Event: Group One

Hello, Group One!

So, as you might have noticed from the NPC post a couple of days ago, the retraining officer there is a rebel now. That means that the vitamins that have been given out are placebos, and will not indoctrinate anyone back to the Yao Corp cause.

This means that the number of people who are regaining memories, should by now be outweighing the people who remain under Yao control. This means that the look of the town is changing for everyone, even those people still under control of the vitamins, as the group consensus is no longer that the town looks beautiful. The trees in the park seem to be dead or dying, the streets are dirty, and an ash cloud in the shape of a spiral is hovering overhead.

Although people who are outright saying they remember things will still be dragged off by soldiers, or perhaps set upon by anyone still under the sway of the drugs, it will become easier for everyone else to start regaining their memories. Perhaps their 'loving family' hides the vitamins? Perhaps they've gone for retraining and come away with placebos?

But memories don't help anyone get free. And there are still those soldiers (invisible to most) patrolling the towns, and the gates, to deal with. This post can be used as a planning post for any escape attempts that might want to be made, with the understanding that everyone will have their memories fully back by 18th September when the next mingle post will go up.

There will not be a mingle for this section, but all players are highly encouraged to make their own posts for regaining memories and making covert escape plans.

Wan is going to be actively trying to find the invisible guards if he can so they know where they're at/patrolling to make escape attempts easier. He will also be trying to figure out who's remembering and who isn't anyone with cr will be sought out about it if you want to arrange for that and him pushing to get the memories back sooner!

Ooooooh if Yuyuko caught word of him trying to find them, she'd help out o9 she can see the patrolling guards + ones in the towers. Alternatively, she does tend to follow the patrolling ones around in the evening.

Ozai will finally be getting his memories back and he will not be a happy camper. He'll still want to try and make use of the Avatars even though his cover's now blown.

Wan's player already mentioned looking out for the invisible soldiers so--

Korra's been actively looking for people who are starting to remember, and would definitely help form a plan of attack. I.E. figuring out when they should make a break out attempt, how to take out the guards (after figuring out where they usually are)...

Also, checking with Blue right now, but if it's allowed, maybe the people who gather together could start assembling some supply packs to take with them during escape?

You know I'm totally up for this. Depending on what goes down with Jessica, Wade will probably remember everything after their little rendezvous, and will definitely be lending his military expertise to the cause.

Nadia will be at full recall in the next day or so if you want Korra to find her!

She'd also be down to help with break out plans. For soldiers, she won't be too keen on that, but could probably be talked into using her illusions to help hide people to tail them/make a distraction/whatever. I was thinking that maybe she could offer to make packs full of supplies for everyone, though? Maybe find places to stash them around town/houses with the help of others.

While everyone should be able to pick a few of their own supplies list, we should have like, ten -fifteen items everyone making the packs agrees to put in the packs. It should probably be in assorted backpacks/messenger bags. Things that won't look odd for most people and children to be carrying around.

I'm thinking things should include stuff like:

(2) 1 liter bottles of water
(3) small meal items that don't go bad quickly (Possibly some ramen)
(1) personal first aid kit
(1) set of loose fit clothes (to fit most people)
(1) small personal blanket
(1) led keychain flashlight + 1 4-Pack of AA batteries for it (led flashlights shine brighter, last longer, and are smaller so more stuff can be put in the pack)

some other survival supplies

then like, 5 small items anyone getting a pack can choose to put in to personalize it

Zohra will have all of his memories back by tomorrow or so, and is one of the few characters who can see the guards! He'll be trying to discreetly communicate with his CR to see if they remember, if you're interested in that, and might start secretly laying magic traps around the area in preparation for escape attempts. c:

Keats and Yomiel are still NOT REMEMBERING stuff and are more likely to attack anyone who goes against Yao, does anyone want to try to knock them to their senses or get attacked by them if they show ~REBEL YAO ACTIVITY~??

He's about due for some revenge for the Van Robbery, right...

Yuyuko will slowly be getting her memories back...! She can see the guards patrolling the streets and the fences/towers at the edge of town, so if anyone asks who she knows isn't going to turn her in or something (?!) she can draw up maps or diagrams, or otherwise do some sneaking.

Nicodemus is gonna regain his memories within the next few days. So he will just be trying to find a way out. Also kinda pissed about this, don't mind him. He's not really a team player but he will...try to be, I guess. He'll "help" out people but if you need to be sacrificed he will totally do that too because he is totes a nice guy. 8D

I guess if you want to plot anything with him I'm game for whatever~ I don't really have any concrete plans with him as far as escape measures go. He can fly and he's kinda super fast at healing even without his noose. So he's more likely to viciously attack any guards he can actually spot and take their shit for weaponry.

Nadia will have her memories back in the next couple of days (thank you, placebos) if anyone wants to do anything with that! She'll probably be spending most of her time keeping an eye out on other people to see who can be trusted or not and hiding under her illusions while she plots escape. 'Cause screw this town, man.

Sonia has had her memories back for a while now...she's been trying to figure out if anyone else besides the group she knows - Korra, Wan, Chie - has gotten their memories back by speaking with people, but how well that worked is up in the air. If she did notice anyone who has memories and seems to remember why we're all anti-Yao, she'd hook them up with the group pretty willingly.

Since Sonia personally got rid of the family vitamins, the entire household will probably be coming around pretty soon! May I ask on what day exactly that happened on, Lucy? Ciel has always been sketchy as hell in canon and lives in the gray zone though, so even under strong Yao influences she'd frown at "rebel" talk but individual people have always been more important to her than entire organizations, despite the fact that she acts the complete opposite. She'd talk tough and may throw threats but it's probably feasible for Sonia to know through AU experience that Ciel rarely resorts to the extremes unless there's a very strong reason?

BASICALLY keep it low and she'll turn a blind eye... She doesn't want anyone in her house being taken away, ffs. That'll be the general sentiment until she regains her senses, which shouldn't take long now thanks to Sonia. She's seen enough jamjar crap that this will irritate her but won't really bother her, she can still keep acting perfectly well the roles they were initially assigned too. As one of the most OP humans in her canon (a very powerlevels-oriented canon...), she'd be down to take care of any fighting if it comes to that, also can slap down a few magical traps although they'd all be lightning-based (short-circuiting and paralysis) since that's her element o/

OKAY most of my stuff has been handwave-y because i'm a failure but

sasuke is slowly getting his memories back and probably saving mitsunari from himself when that happens. after that he's pretty much going to...... bail on anyone he's been handwave bothering re: the cafe and junk and just sort of keep to the shadows and being his ninja lurking self once more in an effort to figure out what's going on! which means, uh, sorry, staff! i just want to post that much here for anyone who has been using this cafe despite my failure to interact much.

but BUT at the very least, he's wearing much prettier clothes while he does his ninja jerk stuff. OTHERWISE he will continue to be useless and provide no help and watch everyone do the grunt work so this comment is pretty much useless. i'm so sorry.

Lilith will be getting her memories back, but feel an odd desire to help those she was "friends" with escape. She'll be using her powers for "good" basically.

Shatterstar hasn't gotten his memories back yet as he's still been taking the vitamins, but now that they've mostly run out he'll get his hands on some placebos thinking they're real and then start regaining memories.

So basically he's free for anyone to knock some sense into him faster OR if anyone wants their character to get hassled by someone still mostly pro-Yao (his plot point was that the vitamins made him extra anti-rebel/pro-Yao) before the drugs wear off entirely in a few days.

I can volunteer Thor or argue with him about coming to his senses? Since he's already been kind of resistant and going to be a lot more adamant as the vitamin effects wear off.

Noire was given a placebo, but she's going to be incredibly distressed over the next few days as her memories start coming back (especially if Zohra hides her vitamins perhaps maybe), and you'll probably have to approach her with caution until she fully remembers everything, because she'll still take poorly to rebel talk.

With her memories back, she'll be more than willing to help plan an escape, although she can't see the soldiers.

Shima's been pretty adamant about his vitamins (because normality is nice to have, ok) up until the shortage, so his memories are kind of dragging their ass getting back to him. They're getting there, though. If anyone wants to shake him until they finish up returning, by all means...

Once they are back, he'll be willing to help with an escape, but planning isn't really his thing. He's not too shabby in a fight, though, when he really has to be.

HEY, so since they'll both be getting memories back about searching for things that go bump in the night, maybe they can literally bump into each other?

Thor has been missing out on the vitamins due to the shortage and then being a stubborn jerk once he started missing doses and having weird delusions or his memories, so he'll be getting angrier and more inclined to fight as he full recovers his memories soon. He's brash and not much of a planner, but he'd be willing to help with a plan if approached. And I'm always up for any kind of debates with characters who are still supporters or still getting their memories back.

Since Bayonetta's had her memories since the plot hint and he's currently staying with her/she helped him and stuff, she'll probably have to deal with him head on. Also since he's gaining his memories back he could remember her as the "ghost" from their first meeting. Her love for Yao will be dropping slowly during the event too, though it's definitely lowered since the effect of the plot hint is over.

Esdese is regaining the rest of her memories over the next day or two! Someone... might want to catch her as she does, because she is going to not take kindly to the whole brainwashing thing and be more than a little eager to get violent. Yet hilariously less than when she was while under the effects, since she can properly suppress her blood urges.

Esdese will also kind of... not really hide the whole thing if approached. So if any cop folks want to call her out on not showing up to work/acting suspicious, let me know!!

Or if you want a sadist general who can freeze things solid in an instant to join your rebel cause that's fine too.
