NOVEMBER STICKY POST
Hello Havenites, this is your monthly mod post!
Firstly, allow me (Blue) to make a formal apology for the severe delay in NPC tags and my lack of presence for the last few weeks. A lot of staff members (pretty much half) were lost from work and so all the remaining staff have been pulling extremely long days with few days off. However, new staff will be hired during this first week of November to begin on the following Monday, so things will return to normal. While I will return to all NPC threads, I encourage anyone who wants a resolution to PM me and I will be happy to work out resolutions in the mean time so nobody is stuck in limbo.
Secondly, an addition has been added to the "letters" section below. This section is now no longer just for contacting Caroline by letter, it can also be used to visit Jessica or request her presence in a post/log/thread. I will try and honour all requests made there as swiftly as possible.
These plot clues are available to be found by anyone, and can be found by multiple characters.
-> A new plot book has been made by mysterious ghostwriters (Sebastian and Ciel). - This clue can be found in Haven North library.
-> The taste of ashes in the well water will increase. The water will not cause illnesses, but the taste will become so strong it may become undrinkable. The taste of ashes will also spread faintly to all other drinking liquids - This clue can be found everywhere.
The weather was changed in August by Doctor Impossible and is now warm, maybe a little hotter around midday though not unmanageably so, but pleasantly cool in the evening/at night. Occasional rainstorms are still a thing, but they won't be torrential downpours any more, just light-to-moderate showers. If your character changes the weather, please comment here with the changes made. This means that if anyone wishes to know the current weather for posting purposes, they need only check the last comment made under that heading. This section will be included every month, so the header to check the current weather will always be sticky.
This is the place to request any small player plot requests which do not change the game setting as a whole, and do not involve the whole playerbase. For player plots that are more involved, please still use the suggestions and player plots page. This section is for requesting smaller plots, such as a raid on the convenience store or a request to join the Yao Corporation, though not limited to these two things specifically. The header to request these is here.
If you would like to write further letters to Caroline, or any other NPC to be passed via Caroline, please leave them here, and replies will be made to your comment in this post. Caroline only visits the underground room sporadically, so there may be some wait between replies.
You may also use this section to visit Jessica in her little tent encampment, or request her presence in a post/thread.
This is the place to let us know about any concerns you might have regarding the game itself. This is not the place to tell us about concerns you have with other players, or for major concerns, please use the screened Concerns Post for that. If you would like to leave a concern or suggestion, please try to be as detailed as possible so that we can properly understand and address the issue. This is also the place where you can let us know about any small mod mistakes; for example, typos in the information posts, or broken links anywhere, so that these can be fixed.

Since the inner barrier's been extended to the wastelands, Lante and Leo are going to try to track the location of Haven North above ground in a five-man (Double Ls, Morgan, Sebastian, Charles) team. Basically, it's to see if it's possible to find a route there without having to go through the monster-infested subway tunnel.
We were planning to have the team split into two: One team will go through the underground subway tunnel and relay instructions on directions to the team tracing aboveground via phone. The team aboveground will be leaving makeshift markers (e.g. marked/coloured stones) to keep track of the route taken.
From this, we have a couple of questions!
1) Most obviously, will they be able to find where Haven North's actual location is? Since HN is not underground nor visible in the wastelands, where will they end up and what will they be able to find? Assuming that both teams make it through alive, of course.
2) Will it be possible to scavenge compasses from any part of Haven? They don't really need any words on it-- just something with colours to denote the four cardinal directions.
3) Are there any existent books/blueprints in the HN library of the subway tunnels?

1. They will be able to keep in contact for only about two hours. During that time, the tunnel group will seemingly be moving significantly faster and further than the above ground team (even if powers are used to try and keep up) and after two hours (three maximum if powers are used) they will be out of contact range. This means that they will be unable to find HN from above ground.
2. I'm fine with a compass or two being able to be scavenged.
3. There are no blueprints of the tunnels at all.

Alternately, if you'd like to do any plotting with the book itself, this is also a general comment to hit me up with ideas! I can't promise that everything will be feasible, since Sebastian wants to keep the fact he wrote it pretty much a secret, but we can still talk it out.

Also, wow -- I didn't get very far because of time constraints but this is a mammoth effort, and you guys have done an amazing job with it.

If the plot point that Kon received and shared wasn't on the pages listened on the Plot Page, then it wasn't a part of this book pretty much intentionally on my part, since for the sake of my sanity, I limited it only to information that I read on those posts. I didn't want to dig through two years worth of posts otherwise looking for plot information, which is also why Junko and Hyobu killing Jessica and her subsequent revival isn't included. It's totally possible that I still missed something, but there were also a few cases where Sebastian purposely omitted information because he's not exactly and unbiased source.
What was the plot point in question, and which IC meeting are you referring to in particular?

If you don't mind, I'd really like it to be included with the doc! The plot clue I received was:
Kon would find a very short article explaining that the American government banned genetic testing on all living things in 2010. A further article would say that in 2011 the American government was abolished and the Yao Corporation ‘liberated’ their people to take charge, as well as overturned their ban on genetic testing. All senators mysteriously went missing and rumors began that Dr. Kite had begun human experimentation.

From the anniversary event endpost, I noticed that it's written:
Does this mean that the inner barrier is now damaged in places (or entirely) that people can travel in and out of the wasteland? Are there any side-effects to being out in the wasteland, aside from the whole no food/water issue?

It means they can definitely travel in and out of the wasteland. There are no side effects, other than the usual effects for being out of the houses for over 24 hours (unless the spiral on the door has been removed), etc.
quick question about the scars that were 'erased' during the anniversary event
Are they back yet? There's been some confusion between me and Kamilah (korra-mun) about if they're back yet.
