Hello Havenites!
Last month the ghost of an annoyed fat scientist set in process something which is starting to come to a head this month. As you can see from this IC mingle, the Haven West apartments have been swallowed by the earth. Several walls have formed from the rock and rubble, which divide the housing spiral into five separate sectors. There are ways through to the other sectors, although they are unstable and mostly just crawl holes and tunnels, so to be used at the character's own risk.
You can see from this divided map of the housing spiral which sector your own housing block falls into. Unfortunately, if your character lives within one of the housing blocks with a dividing wall through part of it, their houses will now be essentially half destroyed.
Important things this means for the characters:
-> There is no natural light, as a ceiling has formed overhead. In addition, the electricity will not be working, and so all light will have to be created by the characters using fire or powers etc.
-> There is no way out currently.
-> As the characters have fallen and there was falling debris, players are welcome to have their characters injured. However, please remember that death is still permanent.
-> The effects for sleeping out of your assigned houses are currently inactive.
-> The sensation of being watched is extremely prevalent, and anyone who walks out alone may feel fingers lightly brushing the back of their neck or whispers urging them further into the darkness.
-> The well has now vanished, and in its place is a small black lake.
Touching the small black lake, or drinking from it, will induce intense hallucinations of a dead world filled with corpses, and a desire to snuff out all life. These hallucinations will last longer or shorter depending on the length of time touching the water, or the amount of water drunk.
The second part of the event will begin on Monday 8th December, and the third stage on Wednesday 10th December. For the third stage of the event, there are sign ups for interested players. Signing up means potentially subjecting your character to temporary psychological changes. Signing up for this is not time sensitive, and so you are not required to be around directly from the start of the third part of the event. If you are interested in signing up, please fill out the form below and post it here, with only one character per player (if applicable). Sign ups will close at 7pm EST on Tuesday 9th December, after which PMs will be sent out with further details.
And finally, the Yao Corporation is finally starting to recover from the massive blows that were dealt out during the anniversary event, so if your character is an employee and been feeling neglected, that's all about to change. Any current employee, or anyone who is interested in having their character become an employee, please go to this post and fill out the form. The time of peace is over, and very soon after Christmas, the employees will feel their employer's eyes on them once more.
