SOS: SAVE THE JESSICAS

Lightheartedness aside, Jessica the NPC has been murdered by Hyobu and Junko (everyone throw things at them)! This occurred following this thread. However, we have Blue's approval to brainstorm to try and save her, so whoever has ideas should feel free to hop in! At this point, Jessica is already dead so it is not a question of jumping in the fight thread and saving her that way.

Possibilities:
-Anyone with a time reversal power
-Anyone with a strong resurrection power that has canonically been shown to bring people back from the dead.
-Something else?

If we manage to have the chance to do a time reversal, we'd also need people to stop Hyobu and Junko since a bunch of PCs tried already and cannot, so feel free to chime in on that, too, if your character can do something along those lines. Personally, I can think of a few tricks for Beast Boy to try that would probably be quite gruesome but might work.

Alternatively, we could just go for messy revenge on Hyobu and Junko, too, aha...

Also feel free to just chime in that you want to be involved if your character had a very close relationship with Jessica deadpool and alphonse

1. Giorno Giovanna (muda_mk2) has the ability to return souls to their bodies but the body remains 'dead' in terms of physiological function.

2. Deadpool (ishotyouuu) may propose cutting a deal with Yao Corp to see what they can accomplish.

3. Nico (trances) may trade a soul for a soul.

And let it be known that along with being able to heal from any physical damage, Deadpool is canonically immune to any sort of telekinesis, mind control, or any other kind of mind power you can think of. Jussayin'.

and would all of this be public knowledge by now/or would have been said immediately after the event??

and we probably should have an option of people wanting to stop this from happening bc reviving people from the dead is probably a touchy subject a lot of characters are icly against. so there might be a need for an open post/log to discuss it.

I think I can help out here! jessica's body is no longer in haven west, but disposed of within haven north! in regards to the public knowledge part, junko & hyobu wouldn't spread word but as suggested below by one of the pcs involved, it's entirely possible that a broadcast could be made immediately after the encounter to inform others! the amount of details given in that post are entirely up to whomever decides to post it, as well!

so, provided that happens, and considering jessica's disappearance from the clinic overall, it's likely that this would be public knowledge! uwoh, that was a mouthful-- I hope I cleared things up a bit!

I think we need to decide what the characters would try to do first since resurrection as it is might not be the thing we do but yeah everyone is definitely free to argue!

As for public knowledge, I think many people would have noticed Jessica disappearing so at this point, I feel as if it would be known that Jessica has vanished from the clinic even if nobody made an announcement specifically saying she was killed. It would be best if one of the participating characters did announce it, though!

One of the PCs who attempted to rescue Jessica could make a backdated network post informing everyone of the incident. This would allow others to get ICly informed and involved, while also pointing out whodunnit. I could put up one later tonight, unless someone else wants to.

That said, Labrys is in on this because Guilt and she has high immunity to illusions.

(and it works out re IC dates there is a chance he is dead at the time this goes down) I'm taking a break from the computer for a bit but I definitely want to be involved if possible and really appreciate you coordinating this!

I finally got my act together and checked dates!

It looks like the initial event post went up on the 9th, and Jessica died on the 12th (using ooc dates for easiness!)

This means unfortunately that from the 10th - 15th, Kon is going to be preoccupied with being dead. I assume that since Beast Boy's IC post on the subject references the tunnels being opened that it is made on the 13th or 14th?

Giorno is kind of OP in a few ways. When it comes to fighting, he's able to get rid of cause and effect so it's like the ultimate defense ever and then he punches people.

BUT, THAT'S NOT THE POINT.

Giorno has brought someone back from the dead once before. It did have the unfortunate side effect of the person having full use of their body but they didn't have a heartbeat, didn't bleed, wounds didn't heal, no pain was felt, and it was basically them being alive but their body not realizing it. Otherwise, they functioned perfectly normally.

Because I'm the worst, I missed out on the chance for CR with Jessica. Also, Hermann has like, no powers at all, haha, so he's pretty useless.

Hey gang, just for the record: there's already a small plot to teach Junko, in specific, a lesson about why you shouldn't murder children and ally with Yao Corp. There will be an open network post regarding this, hopefully within the next few days if the details are worked out by then.

As I mentioned on plurk, Homura's timetravel can't help. She can only go back to meeting Madoka, which was months ago. So unless there's some complicated way to achieve Homura thinking she is meeting Madoka or something, she can't help. She does respect Kon, and will lend her time stopping powers to any effort he makes. So you can probably count her into the fight?

Winry's gonna lecture your butts on this whole revival and revenge nonsense 'cuz she's had enough of that.

In regards to the plan Minato is opposed to exacting revenge, time travel and resurrection unless it can be proven that reviving her will not subject her to the same treatment that they're having right now. He will join in the fight if it happens, but only in an attempt to reason with everyone else that this isn't the right way to do things no matter how much they might hate Junko and Hyobu for it (Yeah, he hates them for that too but there's not much point in getting revenge on people who are beyond help in the first place).

Jumping in again with another option-- making a deal with the Yao Corp to revive Jessica.

Seeing how he's morally questionable at best and willing to do anything to save his little Amazon, Deadpool would definitely be okay with making a deal with his captors in order to save a child's life.

Their end of the deal is definitely not gonna be along the lines of "delivering a package to Kite" unless that package contains Jonas's organs or something so that's something to consider.

Caterina would be opposed to resurrection until they consult the family to see what they believe would be best for Jessica. She doesn't feel comfortable with any of them dictating her fate since they're not in the position to know what would be best for her as outsiders to this world.

She would even more opposed to the deal with the devil option and try to sabotage it since she doesn't believe they'd ever bring back the actual child in question.

Finally she'd be a-okay with messy revenge. This doesn't matter though since she can't physically fight and the only one she'd nudge towards this option will already be in on it.

WOW I THOUGHT I POSTED THIS I AM SO SORRY FOR THE LATE but

Lapis would greatly oppose resurrecting, at least not without some input from any family. And while I need to talk to Blue about this, Lapis may attempt to contact Jessica's spirit to see what she wants the PCs to do, since she feels that she should have a choice in all this. So if it does work, Lapis would bring it up later.

Given the new post that went up about her being dead-- I don't know the time frame for it due to tunnel collapsing and earthquakes and all-- yet since lili didn't point it out since it wasn't asked directly;

Jessica's body isn't exactly in one piece in Haven North! Or more to the point it's in two. One half is buried by the fun fair while one half was burnt up.

SO... Al would be horrendously opposed to any kind of resurrection because that NEVER ENDS WELL, GUYS. Take it from him, he sort of has experience in this sort of mess.

That said, he's horribly in love with Jessica like a little sister, so he might be up for the time travel as long as it's proven it's not ACTUALLY resurrection. He might teeter on the revenge thing, because he's too moral for his own good.

BUT VASH on the other hand, would be more than willing to make a deal with the Yao Corp if that's what it took, offering himself in exchange like a big dumb. He's not met Jessica himself, but he knows of her, and he'd pretty much be willing to preserve life at any cost.

since nico's a hadeskid he'll probably be weighing in on this. he did bring someone back from the dead once, but that was a special exception as the underworld was kind of wonky at the time. he can reanimate skeletons and things and call spirits back but as for bringing someone completely back to life he was told he'd need to trade a soul for a soul so there's that.

in short, there's not a whole lot he could do in this situation unless there was something plotted out but i figured i'd let you know anyway before i commented on beast boy's post \o
