havenooc | oops bad timing with hmd

yo so, as related to the ridiculous k-science post--

Last night, I was trying to figure out a loose time frame for the plants/earthquakes, so I figured I'd share my uh, rough conclusions! I hate math, my math is terrible, but this is like, basic.

On 12/16 our time, 3/21 in game, the event ended (durr) with a very large earthquake, which as a reminder, caused the following:

-severe damage to areas of apartment block
-ruined city buildings collapsing
-bandstand w/ computer collapsing.

The plants also began to spread, and we were told that every 2-3 weeks there would be large earthquakes that would cause severe damage, with every 2-5 days minor ones that knocked stuff over. We were told that by mid/late-Feb, or late May in game, the apartments would be done for.

I figured, say, February 22nd would be a reasonable time to guesstimate from, which gives us (counting the 16th) 69 days, about, for the plants to spread. That's also 69 days of BIG earthquakes every 14-21 days, and minor ones every 2-5 (probs not including those days with big ones..)

I asked if there were specific days set for the big ones, and was told nah, but I figured it might be helpful to have a loose idea OOCly!

So, IDK if this is useful to anyone, but just in case--

if the plants take over six floors in 69ish days, that gives about 11 days per floor. As the IC post says, as it's been a little under 30, that'd put them on the 4th floor currently. so --

6th floor -- p much consumed by Dec 27 (IC 4/1)
5th floor -- p much done by 1/7 (4/12)
4th floor -- " 1/18 (4/23)
3rd floor -- " 1/29 (5/4)
2nd floor -- " 2/9 (5/15)
1st floor -- " 2/20 (5/26)

(it's not totally matching up because 69/6 is 11.5 so shut up :||!!!!)

If the first big earthquake was on the 16th, if we're super literal, the next was then anywhere btw the 30th to the 6th. The next range becomes a little harder to estimate, because that makes it 2-3 weeks from either the 30th or any day through the 6th...

BIG 1 - 12/16 (3/21)
small 12/18-23, and any range thence
BIG 2 - 12/30- 1/6 -- since it's happened maybe we can just say it was 1/3 or something, nice and in btw (4/4 - 4/11)
BIG 3 -- 1/17- /24 somewhere in there (4/22- 4/29)
BIG 4 -- 1/31 - 2/14 (5/6 - 5/20)
BIG 5 -- ??? huge range 2/14 - 3/4 and might instead fall in w/ whatever event ties to apartments going for good. (5/20 - 6/7)

Also, as a note to those hoping on other Haven buildings-- they ain't looking so good in the earthquakes, either. I quote: "The school is the most structurally sound other than the apartments, but it won't last with the earthquakes and, as mentioned, relocation is impossible when the characters have problems staying away."

anyway yeah I'm just super neurotic and nitpicky about this stuff, so it helps me to have an idea, and just in case you feel the same, here you go!
