Event end and Ejected list

Hello Havenites!

As the event closes, it seems like nothing truly horrific is going to happen... yet. The spiral door remains closed, and the mini cave garden seems safe. However there are some effects and changes going forwards:

-> Snails will begin to be seen in the mini cave garden, and then slowly begin to spread up to infest Haven West too. They can be as small as normal snails and as large as a foot long. Eating them will cause a slow metamorphosis into a giant snail.

-> Contracted employees of the Yao Corporation who spend more than an hour at a time in the underground cave will find themselves growing sick and paranoid, regardless of their special immunities.

-> The letters and notes that have been left will be taken during the next 48 hours during a time when nobody is in the underground cave, and replies will be forthcoming next week.

From now on, a mod post will be made once per month to combine several elements. It's primary function will be organizational, to help make the main plot more accessible and plot points more visible. This will include a section where players can mention what the weather is that month, depending what they've done to the machine. Where a list of small plot points will be given that are free for multiple characters to notice as a springboard into the overall plot, and where players can bring forward group plot ideas - such as kill Beth Yao and convenience raids, so that they can be plotted out and organized properly. The first of these posts will go up on Wednesday 14th May, 7pm EST, so feel free to use this post to discuss what weather will be programmed by then!

As regards to non-event stuff, there is one small announcement that need to be made. This is in regards to Activity Check. The half AC for a hiatus of two weeks or more will now be either a post/log OR two threads totalling fifteen comments, this is following the suggestions made for a fairer AC on the How's the Game post. This is now in effect and has been changed on the relevant information pages.

SO ABOUT WEATHER... Hinata will propose to fellows who cracked the computers and to others that they switch to, well, late spring/early summer weather. So mild without being too hot (yet), with rain showers to well wash away all that snow and help gardens get kicked off in growing. IDEAL GROWING CONDITIONS and... nice-to-live-in conditions.

I figure they're more of a symptom than an underlying cause? So killing them would be like putting makeup over a rash I think? Probably nothing would happen except there wouldn't be any more snails and everyone (except the desert dwellers) would be miserable. ...If the snails were killed at all who knows they could actually be machines that don't require water to survive?????

But you could check with Blue. maybe killing all the snails IS the answer to averting the spirapocylpse and we'll beat the game if we do......
